  The origins of Evonik Hanse got its start in 1987 as private startup, concentrates on the core elements of their expertise, such as silicone and nanotechnology. Evonik Hanse is a growth-oriented manufacturer having a young, dynamic teams of the scientists and technicians.In 2011 Evonik Industries acquired both companies and united them in Evonik Hanse GmbH.  
 
The company entered the nanotechnology business in 1997 and began producing nanosilica for various resins on an industrial scale. As the markets served with reactive resin modifiers and nanosilica ran different courses in their dynamic development, the nanotechnology activities were spun off in 2005. Hanse Chemie GmbH then became Hanse Chemie AG and Nanoresins AG. In 2011 Evonik Industries acquired both companies and united them in Evonik Hanse GmbH.
 
    CVC Thermoset Specialties’ Reactive Liquid Polymer (RLP) products, a proprietary technology originally developed by BFGoodrich, enhance performance in a wide array of technically sophisticated end-uses around the world. The product family had been sold for many decades under the Hycar® trade name by predecessor corporations ? BFGoodrich, Noveon and Lubrizol. Following the formation of Emerald Performance Materials in 2006, the products were rebranded as Hypro™ Reactive Liquid Polymers. Prior to becoming an EPM company in 2007, CVC Specialty Chemicals had been creating and manufacturing specialty epoxy resins since 1982. Over the years, the company expanded its product offerings to coatings and adhesive formulators with the acquisition of the specialty epoxy resin line of CL Industries (Georgetown, IL) and substituted urea accelerators from Omicron Chemical. Manufacturing and R&D capabilities were supplemented by the 1995 purchase and subsequent expansions of the Akzo Chemical plant in Maple Shade, NJ. From our automated, state-of-the-art, ISO-9001 certified operations in Maple Shade, NJ and Akron OH, we deliver proven high performance products to the most demanding applications world-wide.
